The mission of You Can Make It Home Ownership Center (YCMIHOC) is to empower residents of Middle Tennessee through education and counseling programs designed to increase financial literacy, self-sufficiency, and access to homeownership.

YCMIHOC is an education-based initiative built on the principles of personal and community empowerment. YCMIHOC seeks to enhance the quality of life for all populations by providing education and counseling that supports wealth building and financial well-being, with a particular emphasis on sustainable homeownership for low-moderate income households. YCMIHOC plays a proactive role in community development by helping residents be well-informed consumers now so that they may contribute to the future vitality and economic stability of their communities.

You Can Make It Home Ownership Center (YCMIHOC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2005 to serve residents in Middle Tennessee through home buyer education and counseling. YCMIHOC is an education-based initiative built on the principles of personal and community empowerment. YCMIHOC seeks to enhance the quality of life for all populations by providing education and counseling that supports wealth building and financial well-being, with a particular emphasis on sustainable homeownership for low-moderate income households. YCMIHOC plays a proactive role in community development by helping residents be well-informed consumers now so that they may contribute to the future vitality and economic stability of their communities.

YCMIHOC is HUD-approved housing counseling agency (Department of Housing and Urban Development); certified by the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) as Homebuyer Education Initiative Trainer in the state of Tennessee, and is an adopter of the National Industry Standards for Homeownership Education and Counseling.

Since 2005, YCMIHOC has provided over 3,200 housing education and counseling services. Since 2010, THDA ranked YCMIHOC the number-one organization of its kind in the state for home buyers’ education with respect to the number of clients served and the value of approved loans. In 2013, YCMIHOC assisted over 430 people in buying their first home through its Home Buyer Education Program which produced $52,751,794.00 in approved mortgage loans through its lending partners in both rural and urban markets.
